Privacy policy
Last updated 22 September 2026
This policy covers alfredium.com: the website, the demo in the search field, the engine room and the demo request form. If Alfredium runs your customer service as a client, the handling of your end customers' data is governed by the data processing agreement in your contract, not by this page.
Who is responsible
Midell Consulting (Norway) is the data controller for this website. Alfredium is a Midell Global company. Contact: post@alfredium.com.
Where the data is
The website and the services behind it run on our own server at Hetzner in Helsinki, Finland – inside the EU/EEA.
What we collect, and why
| What | Why | Basis | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| The demo request form: name, company, work email, tickets per month, chosen plan, your message, plus IP address, time, language and the page you sent it from | To reply to your request and prepare a possible agreement | Consent, and steps you ask for before a contract | Until the request is closed and no longer needed – at most 24 months |
| The demo in the search field: the question you type | To generate the reply you asked for | Legitimate interest in showing the product | Not stored by us. Your IP address is held briefly in memory, only to limit the number of requests |
| The engine room: nothing | Everything happens in your browser. The tickets are made up, and nothing is sent | – | – |
| Visit statistics: page, referrer, approximate country, device type | To see which pages are read | Legitimate interest in running a website | Aggregated, not linked to a person |
Demo requests are saved to a file on our server and flagged in our own internal Slack, so we see them straight away. Nothing is sold, rented out or used for advertising, and we run no newsletter.
WhatsApp, phone and email
If you contact us on WhatsApp, by phone or by email, we only use what you write or say to reply to you. If you choose WhatsApp, WhatsApp (Meta) processes the message under its own terms – that is your choice, and no WhatsApp code loads until you tap the link.
Cookies and tracking
We set no cookies. Our statistics run on Umami, self-hosted on our own server. It is cookieless, does not follow you across other sites and builds no profile of you. We use no advertising networks, social media pixels or third-party analytics.
Who else processes data
- Anthropic – the AI model behind the demo in the search field. The question you type is sent there to produce a reply.
- Slack – notifies us of demo requests in our internal workspace.
- Hetzner – hosts the server (Helsinki, Finland).
Please don't type personal data into the demo
The demo is open to anyone. Ask about the made-up shoe store Nordfjell or about Alfredium – don't paste real customer emails, names, order numbers or anything else that could identify someone.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, receive it in a portable format and withdraw consent at any time. Write to post@alfredium.com and we will reply within 30 days. If you are unhappy with the answer, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) or to the authority in your own country.
How we handle data inside the service
For clients running Alfredium on a live customer service: names, email addresses and phone numbers are pseudonymised before a reply is stored to improve the system. A client's data is only used for that client's replies and is never shared between clients. API keys stay on the server and are never exposed to the browser. Access to the workspace requires a password and two-factor authentication.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
